QUALITY & TRACEABILITY
For discontinued, obsolete, scarce and hard-to-find electronic components, quality control must be practical, documented and proportionate to the product and inspection scope.
ICUNIKIN combines incoming inspection, visual examination, controlled handling and documented records to support informed sourcing decisions. Our dedicated two-person quality team performs inspection work using equipment including microscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, regulated power supplies and programming equipment.
The inspection-process illustrations below show the types of checks that may be performed. They are conceptual process visuals and do not represent a specific customer order, laboratory, test report or certification.

Components are handled using ESD-conscious work practices and protective packaging. Available controls include ESD workstations, anti-static packaging, moisture-barrier bags, desiccant and humidity-indicator cards where appropriate to the product.
Before shipment, we perform a final review of the relevant part number, quantity, visible condition and available packaging information. Incoming photos, label records, lot information and shipment records are retained where available and appropriate.
ICUNIKIN can provide samples for customer evaluation before an order is finalised. Where additional independent analysis is required, we also accept testing by a third party designated by the customer.
The appropriate inspection or test method depends on the component type, package, quantity, available product history and intended application. Any testing arrangement, scope, timing and associated cost should be agreed in writing before work begins.
Inspection and testing provide information within their defined scope; they do not replace the customer’s responsibility to validate suitability for the intended design, application, safety requirements and regulatory obligations.
Because some discontinued, obsolete, scarce and hard-to-find components are supplied through specialised channels, original manufacturer packaging, labels and complete traceability documentation may not be available for every item. We document available information and communicate relevant conditions before supply.
